This year so far

I really don't know where this year has gone. How are we already a few days into July?

These past 6 months have been very busy for me, I've finished up studying Illustration at university, fully cleaned my flat and moved back home, and I've applied for jobs and had interviews (nothing successful yet).

On the more fun side of things I've read a bunch of great books and made some great friends on my Discord book chat. I've celebrated a year in a long distance relationship and we've had some fun trips out together which have been great. And lastly, I've played some really cool video games - I'm toying with the idea of sharing some min reviews of them here.

Books Read

Highschool of the Dead, Vol. 7 (Highschool of the Dead, #7) Soul Eater, Vol. 01 (Soul Eater, #1) Radiant Shadows (Wicked Lovely, #4) Onani Master Kurosawa 1 You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle, #2) Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3) Scott Pilgrim & the Infinite Sadness (Scott Pilgrim, #3) The Raven King (The Raven Cycle, #4) Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1) Wytches, Vol. 1
The Raven Cycle was such a good series, I'm so glad I gave it another chance and read them all this year. I'll be seeing Maggie next month for a signing which I'm so excited for. I finally got a chance to read Shatter Me for my travelling book project but I'm not sure how I feel about this series, I'll give the next book a chance. Felicia Day's book was super interesting to read and I'm finally close to finished the Wicked Lovely series too.

Currently Reading

Neverwhere The Dark World Low, Vol. 1: The Delirium of Hope
Rebel of the Sands (Rebel of the Sands, #1)
Unwind (Unwind, #1)
One day I will stop reading multiple books at once. Today is not that day and I don't see it being any time soon. I'm really struggling with Neverwhere but I'm enjoying all of the others so far.

Reviews

I've also spent this time catching up with all my reviews I had partly written up or just in note form. So I'm no longer behind on reviews hooray. Here are the reviews I've posted this year:

Right Click by Lisa Becker (4 Stars)
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams (5 Stars)
Scott Pilgrim & the Infinite Sadness by Bryan Lee O'Malley (4 Stars)
Memory's Wake by Selina Fenech (3.5 Stars)
Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi (3 Stars)
Untouchable by S.A. Starcevic (3.5 Stars)

Challenges

I'm now at 12 / 30 for my Goodreads challenge which means I remain 3 books behind schedule but given that I'm part way through so many I'm not worried. I'll catch up soon and much easier now I'm done with university.

    1. I'm still unsure how I feel about Shatter Me. It definitely has potential though.

  5. Hope that you will find a good job soon, the time directly after university can be exciting but also pretty scary.

I also tend to read multiple books at once, I never plan to do so but then it just happens. :)
