A while back I won some Amazon.com Gift Cards and I had wanted to spend them on some ebooks but because I live in the UK I couldn't do that, instead I bought Radiant Shadows and Darkest Mercy to complete my Wicked Lovely collection - but of course even though I bought the right publisher they're still different height to my UK editions fml - Enthralled that I read a while back from the library and Faery Tales & Nightmares because hooray for more short stories.

So my first two weeks at university have been super busy, way more than I anticipated, it probably doesn't help that I'm also really run down with the flu.

Aside from baking five batches of brownies for a university project amongst others things, I've also watched all of the Scream television series which I didn't enjoy that much because they'd successfully build up tension and the story but then something cheesey would happen and it would just lose everything, and I guessed the killer fairly early on.

  1. 5 batches of brownies? :D What project was it?

You couldn't use the gift cards for ebooks?I haven't heard of that before but that sucks. At least you could get print covers, despite the wrong covers.

    Have a great week!

    1. We made 5 batches to suit 5 different dietary requirements to portray how difficult it is - without close inspection on labels and such for those that have to follow them - regular brownies, gluten free, lactose free, sugar free, vegan friendly. I study illustration... it was like a warm up for the project we're doing now on food :)

Unfortuantely no, because my kindle is registered in the UK. I could've changed my address to a US one to use it but I would've lost my amazon prime. GG. Yeah theyre still pretty. Thank you!

    2. Aaaah, that makes sense on the brownies. It's a lot of work cooking to dietary restrictions.

That's a bummer about the Kindle. :( It seems like your Prime would transfer regardless, you paid for it. Aaargh

  2. I hope you're feeling better, flu is the worst especially when you have tons of things to do.

Were the brownies laced with happy leaves? hahaha

  4. Hope you are feeling better. It's no fun to be sick and still have to attend university classes and get projects done. The books you picked up look lovely. Hope you do enjoy them. When ever I win or get a gift card I either pick up an eBook or paperback to add to my collection. I still enjoy both types.
