Wow. That went by super quickly. Like super super quickly. One minute we're all wearing party hats, talking about Vampires and planning to live with one and another and now its over. I hope I can take part next time round - in fact I'm pretty sure I will regardless of when it happens because I met some wonderful people!
At the start of the read-a-thon I decided I'd aim to read 5 books as I figured I'd be reading some graphic novels which help bump numbers up a lot, unfortunately I only read 2 books and 54% of another which honestly I'm pretty happy about considering I only finished off one comic.

I also aimed to read for a minimum of 7 hours. I thought I'd struggle with this but Pushing the Limits was a book I didn't want to put down and I almost reached 7 hours on the second day and smashed it by the end.
The books I finished reading/read/currently reading are:FLCL by Gainax - review completed (posting on 28th June). The complete FLCL manga adaptation-now with bonus color illustrations and remastered story pages! In this surreal sci-fi romp, a sullen Japanese boy finds himself in the middle of an interstellar conspiracy. As his home life unravels, a sexy space assassin becomes his family maid, and his own head becomes a portal for armed robots. Life as he knows it is quickly falling apart, and Naota doesn't know who's friend or foe! One thing's for certain-he has to grow up quick and save his hometown, whether he wants to or not! With Dark Horse's FLCL Omnibus, fans will not only get every chapter in Hajime Ueda's acclaimed FLCL adaptation, but this collection will also include revised story pages and over a dozen color FLCL illustrations by Ueda.
Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry - review in progress (posting on 26th July)."I won't tell anyone, Echo. I promise." Noah tucked a curl behind my ear. It had been so long since someone touched me like he did. Why did it have to be Noah Hutchins? His dark brown eyes shifted to my covered arms. "You didn't do that-did you? It was done to you?" No one ever asked that question. They stared. They whispered. They laughed. But they never asked. "An edgy romance that pulls you in and never lets go. I was hooked!"-Gena Showalter, New York Times bestselling author of the Intertwined series . So wrong for each other...and yet so right. No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible. Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.
Bloodlines by Richelle Mead - still readingSydney protects vampire secrets - and human lives. Sydney belongs to a secret group who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the world of humans and vampires. But when Sydney is torn from her bed in the middle of the night, she fears she's still being punished for her complicated alliance with dhampir Rose Hathaway. What unfolds is far worse. The sister of Moroi queen Lissa Dragomir is in mortal danger, and goes into hiding. Now Sydney must act as her protector. The last thing Sydney wants is to be accused of sympathizing with vampires. And now she has to live with one...
Overall I read 3 books, read for 9 hours 19 minutes which is a total of 784 pages. Not bad considering the 23rd was a really slow reading day.
I also took part in both twitter chats - the first one all the way through, and the second only for the first 55 minutes. They were a lot of fun and during the first one I won a $5 Amazon voucher which I used to pay for the postage for a book that wasn't prime eligible *o* but I'll be super happy to get my hands on it!
